Decision of the team and strokeplay competition with deserved winners!
13.06.2026: Team Sweden 1 wins the team title!
The winners of the team competition were decided after five rounds of play. Team Sweden played a consistent final three rounds, averaging under 30 strokes, and thus deservedly secured the title at the 2026 WAGM in Winterberg. Switzerland staged a strong finish with the best team round of the day - 115 strokes (an average of 28.75) -to clinch the silver medal. Team Germany 1 got off to a better start today and took home bronze. Despite strong winds though fortunately no rain - the course record in Winterberg was improved further. Max Schmidt (Germany) was the first to achieve a round of 27; shortly after, his teammate Levi Tritsch bettered this with a score of 26. Sonja Knoll (also from Germany) also managed to equal this record round by the end of the day. Tomorrow, the focus shifts to the category standings before the overall and mixed-event winners are determined. More pictures in the gallery: [click]

12.06.2026: First day with course records!
Weather conditions defined the first day of competition at the 2026 World Adventure Golf Masters. It was raining as early as the morning, but this did not deter the players; the first participants arrived at the Winterberg course shortly after 6:00 a.m. to begin their warm-up routines.
Play got underway promptly at 8:00 a.m. While the first round proceeded quickly, the scores did not match what players had grown accustomed to during practice. Holes 4 ("Bobsleigh Track") and 5 ("Ski Slope") - featuring slightly longer white artificial turf - proved particularly tricky, slowing the balls down significantly more than the other holes.
After first interruption, the course record was finally broken. Timo Vartiainen from Finland became the first to shoot a round of 28, beating the previous record by a single stroke. Four other rounds of 28 were recorded; however, Sweden’s Johan Karlsson demonstrated - under slightly better conditions later in the day - that it would likely only be a matter of time before the Finn will lose his record. Karlsson arrived at the 18th hole ("Sports Field") at 9-under-par and had the chance to post a score of 26 with a hole-in-one. He left his first shot short, landing in the bunker, and was lucky that his putt attempt came to rest onto the "football" obstacle behind the cup rather than rolling back down.

With a final score of 3 on that hole, he also finished with a total of 28 strokes.
Due to a total of three rain inerruptions, only two rounds were completed today; the third round has already begun and will resume tomorrow with a mass start. As the schedule no longer allows for the full distance to be played, the sixth round has been cancelled. The team competition is expected to conclude based on five scoring rounds. We are hoping for better weather and a smooth tournament flow on Saturday.
