History of the World Adventure Golf Masters
Adventure Golf is a very popular course system in minigolfsports, especially for families and leisure players. Besides the classic, standardized course systems, which have developed primarily in Europe since the late 1950s, many countries outside Europe, and even some within Europe (e.g., Great Britain), almost exclusively feature forms of Adventure Golf. Courses in the UK, in particular, enjoyed considerable popularity among tournament players in the 2000s and were also visited by international players.
This development led the World Minigolf Sport Federation to consider offering its own international tournament. The World Adventure Golf Masters, which has held World Championship status within the World Federation for some time and will henceforth be known as the World Adventure Golf Championship, was first held in Hastings, Great Britain, in 2011. It has since then developed from a tournament of 4-5 nations and approximately 40 participants into an international Adventure Golf highlight, most recently attracting over 100 participants from 13 nations in Askim, Sweden in the last year.
For the upcoming last edition under the name World Adventure Golf Masters in 2026, the organizers hope to fill the maximum of 120 participants and further increase the number of participating nations.

Women's Singles: Jenny Erlandsson (SWE)
Men's Singles: Erik Hjalmarsson (SWE)
Junior Women's Singles: Rebecka Johansson (SWE)
Junior Men's Singles: Oliver Mäntylä (FIN)
Senior Women's Singles: Vanette Block (USA)
Senior Men's Singles: Jens Bergström (SWE)
Overall Ranking: Erik Hjalmarsson (SWE)
